We were delighted to help this family with designing a bespoke boxroom cabin bed and wardrobe to maximise space and storage for their children and reclaim the smallest room in their house.

This family needed a bed suitable for one of their teenagers, with lots of storage and display space, aeration for the radiator and of course good looks!

Small bedroom storage for space and comfort

We designed and built a super strong mid-sleeper in oak, with under bed soft close deep drawers for storage and bespoke radiator grille holes by the window for practicality. The bed is shaped around the window for a fitted look. There is plenty of shelving around it to make it easy to store and display the inevitable knick-knacks and collectibles that teenagers and children hoard in their rooms.

As the room is quite narrow, we designed the boxroom cabin bed and wardrobe with plenty of space saving features. Part of the mattress tucks under the shelves to save space and we made sure the furniture was configured to give easy access to sockets so that electrical equipment can be plugged in easily.

Stair bulkhead solution

A made to measure wardrobe has been designed to fit above the staircase rise to make the most of every inch of space in this small bedroom. The wardrobe is fitted with bi-fold doors for safety and ease of use. Two push-to-open drawers at the bottom give plenty of storage and a minimalist look whilst the interior has both adjustable shelves and a hanging rail for clothes.The rail is optional and the wardrobe can be fitted with shelves if preferred giving total flexibility.
