Bespoke Kitchen Island – Brief
We recently had the pleasure of completing a bespoke kitchen island crafted in oak for a client we’ve previously worked with. The project presented us with a number of unique challenges, including creating 15 side-sculpted drawers, working with specific measurement requirements, and incorporating the clients pre-existing plans for utensil placement.
As a bespoke project, our team worked closely with the client to bring their vision to life. Through consultations and discussions, we gained a deep understanding of their needs and preferences, which allowed us to craft the bespoke kitchen island too meet their specific requirements.
One of the standout features of the bespoke kitchen island was the 15 side-sculpted drawers. The client had detailed and specific plans for the layout of the drawers, supplying us with pictures of how they wanted their kitchen utensils laid out. This really helped inform our design and the client was thrilled with the result.
Each drawer was expertly crafted to fit perfectly within the bespoke kitchen island’s dimensions, and at the clients behest we worked with some striking natural features of wood, such as very dramatic looking knots, adding a unique touch to the overall aesthetic.
Our CNC machinery played a crucial role in the successful completion of this project. The Bacci CNC with 5-axis capabilities allowed us to create complex designs and achieve the precise measurements required for the side-sculpted drawers. The 5-axis capabilities enabled our team to make intricate cuts and designs, resulting in a finished product that was both visually stunning and functional.
