Dovetailors has collaborated with London design consultancy Studio Hemal Patel to develop a range of British designed and made contemporary furniture for home design brand HeadSprung.
We have worked closely with Hemal Patel, lead designer at Studio Hemal Patel, on some very stylish and innovative designs for two tables and a shelf.
Hemal brought his original designs to us and over recent months we have helped him develop the styles and produce prototypes for testing.
Our commercial expertise in small batch production and bespoke furniture making meant we could share knowledge to help him find the most cost-effective way to bring them to market. This meant tweaking the models, sizes and shapes so that they are feasible and functional as well as amazing looking.
We love Hemal’s striking designs. His stacked table is bold and dramatic without losing its practicality and his terraced shelf and table make a style statement whilst also serving a functional role in the home.
The whole team at Dovetailors enjoys working with designers to help them bring their ideas to life. We work with a wide range of product designers, from large furniture and upholstery companies to small independent designers who are looking for somewhere to test their designs and support them with small batch production.
It is very satisfying to see that after all our hard work with Hemal, the HeadSprung range is now available to buy on the company’s website and each piece will be manufactured to order in the Dovetailors workshop.
There is such a huge demand for well-made furniture with provenance and HeadSprung is proud to be able to offer British designed and made furniture thanks to its partnership with our Yorkshire workshop.
