Project Brief
The brief for this octagonal console table in walnut was to create a distinctive ornamental piece of work in wood. The table is a bespoke creation of furniture designer David Wilson in close collaboration with the customer. Every detail of this console table is designed to perfectly embellish the beautiful and quirky space of a “turret” of a large Victorian house.
How we designed this octagonal console table in walnut
- We created an octagonal shaped table to reflects the unusual geometry of the turret space
- We complemented the circular shape of the room by allowing the the table legs to flow between the top and the shelf in one unbroken form
- We carefully picked a rich burr walnut for the table top and the table shelf.
- We enriched the vibrancy of the burr walnut by framing it in lighter walnut
- We chose a high sheen lacquer finish to enhance the elegance and decor of the room
- The lacquer finish is applied by hand for intensity
