We were asked to design this burr oak console table for a customer who wanted to re-introduce her turntable into her living room along with her long-cherished record collection.
She wanted something stylish and definitely not something that suggested hifi geek! This is what we came up with. We like the idea that it is a console table in its own right which can be used with or without LPs. It is a beautiful piece of furniture with a practical purpose too.
The frame and legs of the table are made in solid oak with a distinctive large chamfer moulding design. The carcass is made with book-matched burr oak with push-to-open solid oak drawers with a feature inlaid walnut and oak panel on each door. A lower shelf set into a robust solid oak frame provides ample capacity for heavy storage (in this case LPs).
