As a UK manufacturer of bespoke and batch-run furniture, Dovetailors is keen to grow trade sales by connecting directly with interior designers, architects, and retailers. We were invited by Karolina Barnes, founder of ESTILA and a passionate advocate for emerging British design, to take part in a new Clerkenwell showroom aimed at giving smaller, independent UK brands a permanent trade presence in London.
The space was conceived as a relaxed, inspirational hub where design professionals could discover innovative, sustainable, and design-led British products — filling a gap in the market for smaller brands to showcase alongside international names.
We have supplied a curated selection of our own furniture collections for display in the Clerkenwell studio. Designed and made in our Leeds workshop, these pieces demonstrate our design ethos and manufacturing capabilities — from modern hardwood and plywood furniture to bespoke statement pieces.
Our team is collaborating with Karolina and her interior design network to ensure the products on display resonate with trade visitors looking for unique, high-quality British-made furniture. By participating in the space, we are now better able to engage with buyers in London and develop valuable trade partnerships.
The project launch aligns with our second year exhibiting at Clerkenwell Design Week, reinforcing our visibility during one of the industry’s most influential events.
This collaboration has strengthened our connection to the design trade in London and created new opportunities to showcase our craftsmanship to decision-makers. It allows interior designers and retail buyers to see, touch and specify our furniture with confidence, knowing it is designed and manufactured in the UK by a team that understands the trade’s need for quality, flexibility and reliability.
We are proud to be part of this new approach to trade showrooms — one that supports British design and offers more accessible, meaningful engagement between makers and specifiers.
