By 2020 around half the UK workforce is expected to be working remotely for at least part of the week which means that almost every house in the land will need to find space for a home office of some description. That might simply mean a stylish desk and ergonomic chair in the corner of the living room for occasional days out of the office. For full-time home workers or people running their own business, a carefully planned and fitted workspace might be more appropriate.
Our home office design service
Just as everyone’s working life is different, every home office project we undertake is unique. We have made glass trestle desks to order for customers who want their workspace to blend in beautifully with their contemporary home interiors. We have also created bespoke freestanding office furniture for unusual shaped rooms and attic spaces that have the appearance of fitted furniture but can still be moved and rearranged.
Some customers will see a product on our website and ask us to make it in their own choice of material and to their required size. Others will contact us to discuss a tailored solution for their entire workspace, often incorporating special features to make their working lives easier. One recent project involved designing a peninsular bookcase to provide privacy and a separate meeting area for clients. We have built in secret compartments, LED lighting and wiring systems for computer cooling. The benefit of having a home office designed from scratch is that it is as individual as the person using it.
Mix and match furniture
The popularity of home office furniture has led us to develop a range of products and designs which can be mixed and matched to create a personalised working environment. Each item has been created so that it looks at home in your home, if you get what we mean!
