Next week our friend Hemal Patel will be in Como, Italy picking up well deserved design awards for his fabulous Terrace Coffee Table and Terrace Wall Shelves, which we are very proud to have collaborated on.
We feel very privileged to have worked closely with Hemal, lead designer at London-based Studio Hemal Patel, to develop a range of contemporary furniture for home design brand Headsprung!, including the Terrace coffee table design which has been awarded Silver in the Furniture Homeware and Décor category in the A’ Design Awards 2019, and the wall shelves from the same range which have won an Iron award in that category.
The A’ Design Awards are a leading annual competition for international design and highlight excellence in design and creativity across a wide range of disciplines.
The Terrace Coffee Table and Wall Shelves were inspired by terrace farming in South America and Asia. The stepped edges give them a sculptural quality to create a beautiful piece of functional art for the home.
We were able to share our commercial experience during the product development process as Hemal explored different approaches. As specialists in small batch production we enjoy working with designers like Hemal to help bring exciting new furniture to market.
Congratulations to Studio Hemal Patel on this latest award wins and we are sure there will be many more accolades to come for this innovative British design house.
