Glass top

Our glass and wood trestle dining table uses 10mm toughened glass with radiused, polished edges. The glass is manufactured locally in the North of England, giving us full control over quality and ensuring a high specification finish for customers who care about design and detail.

Please note that while the wooden trestle legs are crafted in house, the glass top is supplied by a trusted third party manufacturer. This means the glass will be shipped separately and typically arrives within two weeks of your order.

Important delivery information

The glass top is delivered separately from the trestle legs and may arrive on a different date.
Someone will need to be present to receive the glass delivery.
The driver may require assistance carrying the glass into your property and delivery is to ground floor only.
After placing your order, you will receive a detailed email from the glass manufacturer outlining delivery arrangements, terms and policies.

Made with expertise

Our wooden trestle legs are selected and constructed with a focus on strength, balance and visual clarity. We hand select 2.5 inch thick solid wood from which the trestle legs are cut. Each leg is tapered, with sections of the rails hand planed and hand carved.

Alongside the inherent stability of a tripod design, we have integrated bespoke stainless steel micro adjusting glass supports into the trestle legs. These allow the dining table to sit level on uneven floors, including flagstones and old floorboards.

Your glass top is measured and made to your specification, with the entire process managed by us.

Finished with care

The trestle legs are hand finished in Osmo Polyx Hardwax Oil in clear satin. This natural oil and wax finish is breathable and clear, allowing the true colour and character of the wood to show through and complement the glass top.

Durable and water resistant, it provides a family friendly finish suitable for everyday dining. The surface is easy to maintain and small marks can be repaired without sanding the entire piece.

Peace of mind

Our products are built to extremely high standards and designed to withstand many years of use. If you change your mind or are unhappy with your Dovetailors product, we will refund or exchange it if you notify us within seven days of receiving your item and return it within twenty eight days in its original packaging and condition. This does not apply to bespoke or personalised items.
