Strong and versatile
The island has become the new kitchen table and in many homes it is the focus for everything from after school homework sessions to Friday night drinks with friends. One of the most important things to think about when designing a bar stool is strength. The stools we make in our workshop are built to last, using traditional furniture making methods such as through jointed tapered legs. CAD/CAM technology helps us work out any tricky angles and joints to make sure the finished products functions as well as it looks. Comfort is important too, so we take time to create a carefully shaped seat.
Know your style
People spend a long time planning a kitchen and we would urge the same approach for accessories. These finishing touches can make all the difference to the look of the room. When we are designing a piece of furniture for a customer, we ask them to tell us how they use the room, what type of furniture they already have and the general style and layout. Design is very personal, so we take time to understand the exact look and feel our customers want during the design process.
Experiment with materials
